The QC™ #2 Secondary Cleaner combines a unique teardrop-shaped blade profile, and dual linear Spring Tensioners for effective cleaning performance at an economical price. This is the first Secondary Cleaner with one-pin blade replacement. Individual 3" wide blades independently conform to the profile of the moving belt. Blade tips molded into the urethane base are available in tungsten carbide, stainless steel, or ceramic. The QC™ #2 includes two (2) #2 Spring Tensioners.

  • Fast Return on Investment
Integrated cleaner and tensioner system provides effective cleaning without a high price tag, providing a prompt payback.
  • Maintains Effective Cleaning
Individual 3 inch (76 mm) wide blades independently conform to profile of moving belt.
  • Saves on Maintenance Expenses
Tungsten carbide blade tips last a long time, reducing costs for service downtime, labor, and replacement parts.
  • Cuts Blade Service Costs
Blade change is a fast and easy, one-pin procedure. Blades are preloaded onto a belt-width cartridge, so one worker can quickly replace blade.
  • Won't Damage Belt on Splice
System absorbs splice shock to safeguard belt, splice, and cleaner. Linear relief is built into the spring tensioner; urethane blades absorb radial shock.

  • Ordering
Blade coverage is belt width minus 3 inches (76 mm). To protect belt edges, first blade on each end of cleaner assembly does not have tungsten carbide tip.

  • Application
Martin Engineering recommends that the MARTIN® QC™ #2 Secondary Belt Cleaning System be installed so the cleaning blade contacts the belt at a point 2 to 4 inches (51 to 102 mm) after the point where the belt leaves the head (discharge) pulley. If obstructions prevent installation at this point, or if additional cleaners are desired, the cleaner should be installed 2 to 4 inches (51 to 102 mm) past the point where the belt leaves the support idler.
