Operating Principle: Vibration is induced by an unbalanced Turbine Wheel (supported by oversized, sealed bearings) being driven by compressed air (or another inert gas) around the vibrator's aluminum, malleable iron or cast steel cylindrical body. The Speed or Frequency, measured as Vibrations-Per-Minute (VPM) is determined by the number of times the Turbine Wheel rotates. The VPM is adjustable using an air regulator to adjust PSI or an adjustable speed control exhaust muffler. The Centrifugal Force Pounds (lbf) developed is based on the size of the Turbine Wheel and the RPM it rotates. The smaller the Turbine Wheel, the higher the VPM at the same PSI air pressure or speed control muffler setting. A larger Turbine Wheel (larger rotating unbalance) and an increase in Turbine Wheel RPM results in an exponential increase of the centrifugal force produced.

Sizing Guide: Vibrators are sized based on the weight and characteristics of the material in the sloped portion of the bin/hopper. Generally, for consistent, long term results, select a Turbine Vibrator that at 80 PSI (can be run @ 40 to 90 PSI) produces 1-lbf for every 10-lbs of stored material.
