The BINMASTER® BM45 Standard Diaphragm Switch is a general purpose, economical pressure switch for non-hazardous locations that provides simple, low cost, point level control with proven, lasting reliability. The BM45 Series is offered in six different models. The variations include standard, heavy-duty neoprene, or heavy-duty silicone diaphragm material, and either internal or external mounting options. The basic, yet reliable, operating mechanism is very rugged and requires minimal maintenance. It can be used in conjunction with BINMASTER®'s Point Level Alarm Panel, which is a console used to alert the user to bin level conditions for 4 to 24 level indicator stations. It helps save time by allowing the user to monitor high-, medium-, and low-levels of multiple bins from a single console.

BINMASTER®'s Diaphragm Switch is designed for use with free-flowing, dry granular or pelleted material being stored in bins, silos, or hoppers. Mounted inside or outside of the bin, the Diaphragm Switch can be used for detecting high, intermediate, or low levels of material. The Diaphragm Switch features a simple operating mechanism making it highly reliable and requiring minimal maintenance. It operates by sensing material pressing against a switch as the bin fills. When material comes into contact with the pressure switch, it activates a sensitive micro switch which can be wired to a visual alarm, such as a light or an audible alarm, such as a horn. It can also be wired to stop or start a process when materials reach a desired level.

Materials of Constrution:
  • Neoprene: A synthetic rubber, Neoprene has a variety of properties that make it quite useful, including being abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant, waterproof, stretchable, and buoyant.

  • Silicone Rubber: Offers the best long-term resistance to environmental extremes. The chemical, electrical, and mechanical properties of silicones remain virtually unchanged at temperature from -160°F to 500°F
