This group of belt scrapers is engineered to remove the residual fines that remain on the belt past the Primary Cleaner in a multi-scraper system, or to be a standalone Cleaner on belts carrying dry materials. The "secondary" position is the area from just before the point where the belt leaves contact with the head pulley to just before the belt contacts the snub pulley. This mounting position, still within the discharge point or over a dribble chute, causes the remaining carryback to return to the main material flow by gravity. This mounting position enables the user to choose from a wider selection of blade materials based on the operation. Often hard blade materials, such as tool steel or tungsten carbide, are used, while other plant operations use urethane or rubber blades. With (6) models and a wide range of blades, there’s a Secondary Cleaner for any size, speed or type of belt including chevron belts and reversing belts, and for any application including on food and high temperature belts. Cleaning effectiveness varies based on Cleaner’s design, blade material chosen, and the amount of carryback on the belt.
